  • Dr. Madhu Prabakaran
    Prof. & Dean

    Ph.D. (Social Science), MA (Social Work) & MA (English Literature)
    Experience: 15 Years
    Dr Madhu Prabhakaran is a multidisciplinary scholar having 26 years of experience in teaching, research, training, and management. He has pursued various fields of interests such as English Literature, Social Sciences, Social Philosophy, Social Work, Human Resource Management, Management in Government, Social Development, Anthropology, Ecological Conservation, Education, and Spiritual Studies and has published papers in these fields too. He believes social sciences can be disciplinary as well as transdisciplinary as they are connected through methodology, which explains his interest in Liberal Arts. He is an alumnus of Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai, University of Calicut, and a Ph.D. Scholar from Mahatma Gandhi University. He served in government projects of agriculture entrepreneurship, local administration, forest conservation, and urban development in various capacities as a project manager or consultant. He worked with Kerala Institute of Local Administration Mahatma Gandhi University, Amity University, and in the School of Communication and Management Studies in senior positions. Before Joining IMS Unison he was an Academic Dean of Lorven St. Xavier’s College at Bangalore.
  • Dr. Vandana Chauhan

    Dr. Vandana Chauhan is an Assistant Professor in the School of Liberal Arts at IMS Unison University, Dehradun. She has completed her bachelors and masters degree (M.A. English) from H.N.B. Garhwal Central University, Srinagar. She got the highest percentile throughout her graduate and post-graduate program. She has completed her doctoral degree (Ph.D.) from Gurukala Kangri (Deemed to be University), Haridwar in the domain of Indian Aestheticism. She has actively participated in various National and International Conferences/Seminars/ Workshops. She has published several research papers in peer- reviewed National/International journals. She has qualified UGC- NET exam in December 2019. Her research interest includes Post-Colonial Literature, Indian Literature, Feminist theories, and Diasporic Studies.
  • Dr. Ram Prakash
    Assistant Professor

    Ph.D. (History), UGC (NET), MA (History)
    Dr Ram Prakash is an Assistant Professor of History in the School of Liberal Arts at IMS Unison University, Dehradun. He has done his Ph.D. in History from the School of Ambedkar Studies, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. He has been awarded RGNF-JRF Doctoral Fellowship for the year 2011-2012. He has qualified UGC NET in History subject. Previous, he has worked as a faculty of History at Lovely Professional University, Punjab. The subjects taught by him included Modern Indian History, Modern world, History of science and technology in modern India, Revolutions and Revolutionary thought. His research area is Environmental History, Modern Indian History, and Tribal History of India. He has participated and presented papers in academic conferences (national and international) and published research papers in the UGC Care list and peer- reviewed journals. He has also participated and attended workshops/ Programme/Courses like Ten Day Course on Research Methodology workshop Indian Council of Social Science Research (ICSSR) sponsored, ICSSR-Funded Orientation Programme on Social Science Research, Interaction Programme for Ph.D. Scholars University Grants Commission, Art Appreciation course, and Enhancing communication skills of student in higher Education: Role of Libraries.
  • Dr. Nitish Kumar Arya

    Experience: 4 years
    Dr. Nitish Kumar Arya is an Assistant Professor in the School of Liberal Arts at IMS Unison University. He has done his Ph.D. from the Department of Economics, Banaras Hindu University, and did his M.A. (Economics) and B.A. (Hons) from Banaras Hindu University. He is having teaching experience of more than 4 years at Economics Section, Mahila Mahavidyalaya, BHU Varanasi and Mahatma Gandhi Central University, Motihari, Bihar. He was qualified RBI Young Scholar Award Scheme by Reserve Bank of India in 2011. He was awarded UGC-NET and UGC-JRF (Economics) in the year 2014. Dr. Nitish has published 6 research publications indexed in Scopus and UGC-Care. He is working in Public Economics with a special focus on primary Education, Nutritional Status, Enrolment etc. He has participated and presented papers in various academic seminars (National and International) and workshop programs related to Applied Time Series Analysis, Research Methodology and SPSS - Software.
  • Dr. Surendra Kumar Yadawa

    Experience: 10 Years
    Dr. Surendra Kumar Yadawa is a writer, analyst, and academician. Previously, he served C.M.P. Degree College, Prayagraj (A Constituent College of Allahabad University) as a Guest Faculty (Political Science) and Law College Dehradun, Uttaranchal University as an Associate Professor of Political Science. He also presented radio talks on different subjects of social sciences at Gorakhpur Akashavani for Shiksha Prasar Karyakram made for Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand. He obtained B.A. and M.A. degrees in Political Science from DDU, Gorakhpur University Gorakhpur. He did his Ph.D. from the same University in 2019 on the topic of “Changing Nature of Public Protest and Political Mobilization (An Analytical Study).” The papers he has been teaching are- Political Theory, Political Philosophy, Indian Government &Politics, International Politics, and Public Administration. He has been trying to promote student-centric teaching-learning and quality research. He developed students ' friendly pedagogy while teaching at various platforms like school, college, and university levels. He has 10 years of teaching experience. Apart from this, he has written articles and blogs on national and international affairs in newspapers and digital platforms on contemporary political issues.
  • Dr. Neha Goyal

    Dr. Neha Goyal has completed her Ph.D. in Economics. She has cleared UGC JRF Economics and UGC NET Women Studies. She has also authored two books for the preparation UGC NET Women Studies. She is a prolific writer and her thrust area is gender economics. She has attended many international and national conferences, workshops pertaining research methodology and gender studies. She has published research papers in UGC listed and peer reviewed journals.
  • Dr. Manisha Mishra

    Dr. Manisha Mishra has completed her Ph.D. from Department of History from Dr. Shakuntala Mishra National Rehabilitation University, Lucknow and did her Master's in Medieval and Modern Indian History from University of Lucknow. She was awarded U.G.C-N.E.T and J.R.F. in year 2014. Her research work is based on Labour classes of Medieval period in India and she wrote 09 research papers during her research work based on Labours History in International, National, and UGC care listed journals as well as in Proceedings. She is having expertise in Medieval Indian History and Legal and constitutional history of India.
  • Dr Rai Ganguly

    Experience: 1 Year
    Dr Rai Ganguly has completed her PhD in Sociology from the Center for the Study of Social Systems in Jawaharlal Nehru University in 2022. She has done her graduation and post-graduation in English Literature from Jadavpur University, followed by a second post-graduation in Sociology. She has a multidisciplinary approach towards research working in the subdiscipline of Sociology of Law. Scholarships such as the Erasmus Mobility helped her study in the Law department of UPF in Barcelona to further her thesis work. Post her doctorate, she has been a visiting fellow at the Institute of Feminist Legal Studies at the Osgood Hall Law School in York University, before joining IUU. She has experience in international organisations and think tanks as an ethnographer.
  • Ms. Vaishali Suyal

    Experience: 3 years
    Ms. Vaishali Suyal is an Assistant Professor in the School of Liberal Arts at IMS Unison University, Dehradun. She has completed her M.A. in English Literature from Kumaun University and is currently pursuing her Ph.D. in the domain of Indian Literature and Films. She has been actively participating in Conferences, Seminars, and Workshops being conducted from time to time. She has qualified for U-SET (English) in 2018. She is also the recipient of the Certificate of Merit in AISSCE -2010 from the CBSE Board for her outstanding performance in English. She holds more than three years of teaching experience in different capacities. Before joining IMS Unison University, she was associated with Amrapali Group of Institutes, Haldwani, as an Assistant Professor. Her other areas of research interest are American Literature, British Literature, Indian Literature, Literary Criticism, and Theory. She enjoys interaction and discussion on social issues.
  • Mr. Abhishek Juneja

    Experience: 12 Years
    Mr. Abhishek Juneja is an Assistant Professor at the School of Liberal Arts, IMS Unison University, Dehradun. He has submitted his PhD thesis and his research lies at the intersection of political theory, caste and modern Indian history. His published works are in the area of political economy of caste and the general workings of Indian federal system. His other research interests include Marxism, critical theory and film studies. He has appeared for IAS and UK-PCS interviews and has mentored students for competitive exams for over six years. He quit multiple government jobs of repute to pursue a career in teaching. He has been running a reading and film club in Dehradun for the last five years.
  • Ms. Padmini Khan

    Experience: 7 Years
    Ms. Padmini Khan has submitted her Ph.D. thesis at Jadavpur University, West Bengal, in December, 2022. She has qualified UGC NET (English) in 2017 and her research areas include Comparative Cultural Studies, Performance Studies, Martial Art Studies, Children’s Literature, Business Communication and Indian Arts. She has published research papers in UGC Care listed journals and has presented papers at national and international conferences. She has done her graduation in English from St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata and post-graduation from the Department of English, Jadavpur University, Followed by M.Phil. from the Department of Comparative Literature, Jadavpur University. She has also done a post graduate diploma in Indian Arts and Aesthetics. Scholarships awarded to her by the Japan Consulate and the Thai Embassy allowed her to conduct her research field work in Japan and Thailand. Content based projects from different state tourism boards of India have allowed her to travel across India, document cultural experiences and produce written as well visual content on the same. She has an experience of 7 years in the field of teaching and research. She is actively interested in sports and co-curricular activities and has been representing India in National and International martial art championships for the last 10 years. She takes active interest in adventure sports. She has been collaborating with mountaineering organizations.
  • Mr. Lucky Sharma
    Assistant Professor

    Ph.D. (Pursuing), UGC (NET), MA in History
    Mr. Lucky Sharma is an accomplished Assistant Professor in the School of Liberal Arts at IMS UNISON University, Dehradun. With a strong background in history and technocratic exposure, he is a fervent advocate for the all-inclusive nature of the social sciences. Lucky pursued his MA in History from the Central University of Himachal Pradesh, where he graduated with distinctions and honoured with a Gold Medal for his outstanding academic performance. Additionally, he achieved an impressive 99.91 percentile in the UGC-NET JRF examination. Currently on the cusp of completing his doctoral journey, Sharma's Ph.D. thesis focuses on the captivating area of Cartographic Social History, with a specific emphasis on the Trigonometric Survey of India and its far-reaching social impacts. His expertise in Military and Colonial History makes him a valued resource in the academic community, and he is integrating socio-cultural plurality and socio-philosophical ideas into his teaching and learning endeavors to enrich the educational experience for his students. Beyond academia, Lucky has also contributed significantly to the preservation, interpretation, and contextualization of historical materials. He has attended at least twenty national seminars, workshops and Symposia, where he has shared his research findings and insights. Moreover, he has presented over 10 research papers, displaying his commitment to sharing knowledge and fostering academic discourses. His passion for research has resulted in the publication of more than six works, exploring various strategic and non-conventional approaches within the social sciences. His contributions have been instrumental in advancing the field in addition, offering fresh perspectives on complex historical and social issues.
  • Mr. Akshat Seth
    Assistant Professor

    Ph.D. (Pursuing), UGC (NET)
    Mr. Akshat Seth is an Assistant Professor at the School of Liberal Arts, IMS Unison University. He has submitted his Ph.D. on Post Liberalisation Urban Readership with Bhopal as a case study in the Centre for Media Studies, JNU. He completed his Masters from the Centre for English Studies in JNU and has qualified NET in English. His research interests revolve around Book History, Print Culture, Indian Writing in English with a special focus on Contemporary Commercial Fiction, and Urban Studies. He has presented in a number of national and international conferences including the Book Cultures and Publishing Symposium in the University of Reading, the Ireland India Institute Conference at Dublin City University and the Indian History Congress. Akshat has been involved in book preparation and editing projects and has translated excerpts in published and acclaimed books both ways between English and Hindi.
