Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav - IMS Unison University

At IMS Unison University we are celebrating  Azadi ka Amritmahotsav along with mission of “Har Ghar Tiranga “ from 9th Aug 2022 to 15th Aug 2022,  to commemorate 75 years of independence with below activites:


9th August 2022  - Tiranga Rally 

The celebration of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav started with Tiranga Rally at Gandhi Park, Dehradun on 9-8-2022.

The student volunteers from girls and boys' hostel made the 50 pax contingent that represented the IMS Unison University at the Rally.

 

The student contingent was accompanied by Mr Nikunj Yadav-SoL & Dr Nitesh Thakur-SoM along with wardens :Ms. Savita and Mr. Jaswant., supported by Mr. Surender S Sahi.

 

10th August – Inter School Rangoli Making Competition

In continuation of the series of events organized at IMS Unison University to celebrate "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav", an Inter-School Rangoli Making Competition was held on 10th of August.

 

The theme of the competition was "Indian Independence Movements." Students from all schools of the university participated in the competition with great enthusiasm. Students prepared rangolis with great zeal for major independence movements such as the Non-Cooperation Movement, Quit India Movement, Champaran Movement, Swadeshi Movement, and Salt March Movement.

 

The competition was judged by the Deans, Associate Deans and Heads of various Schools.

 

 

12th August – Inter School Patriotic Song and Dance  Competition

 

Day 3 was dedicated to Inter-School Patriotic Song and Dance Competition, as part of a series of celebrations for "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" at IMS Unison University.

Students from all schools of the university performed solo songs, solo dance, duet dance and group dance in keeping with the theme Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. The event was packed with students filled with patriotic zeal and great enthusiasm.

 

The competition was judged by the Deans, Associate Deans and Heads of various Schools.

 

13th August Inter-School Oratory Competition 


In continuation of the series of events held at IMS Unison University to celebrate "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav", an Inter-School Oratory Competition was organised on August 13. The theme of the competition was "Life History of Martyrs on the University Wall of Heroes." In the competition, the participants, through their inspiring speeches, brought to life the life stories of unsung heroes whose sacrifices have made freedom a reality for all of us. The competition was judged by the Deans, Associate Deans, and Heads of various schools. 

 

 

14th August – Tiranga March


In today's event in the series of celebrations at IUU campus for "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" and mission of " Har Ghar Tiranga" all the hostel students of IUU university gathered in the university campus for Tiranga rally along with their respective hostel wardens. The boys's hostel, senior warden Mr. Surender Singh Negi briefed the students about importance and facts related to Tiranga. Mr Jaswant , boy's hostel warden and the girls's hostel warden Ms Savita and Ms Shefali ensured a vibrant participation of the students.  The student contingent took a round of the university campus accompanied by patriotic songs and slogans and rendering the atmosphere fill with energy and enthusiasm.

 

15th August – Independence Day Celebration


 

The 76th Independence Day was celebrated at IMS Unison University by paying tribute to the countless freedom fighters and revolutionaries who struggled, strived, and made heroic sacrifices to win us our freedom from colonial rule. The celebrations began with the dignitaries paying a floral tribute to the Param Vir Chakra awardees on the University "Wall of Heroes". Prof. Gurdip Singh, Chancellor, IMS Unison University, then hoisted the National Flag, which was followed by a rendition of the National Anthem. In his address, Prof. Singh urged the students to proudly proclaim themselves as citizens of the largest democracy in the world. The celebrations continued with cultural performances by students from various schools. The programme concluded with a felicitation ceremony in which the winners of various events organised under "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" were awarded.
