National E-conference (Day-1)

The IMS Unison University had the inauguration of a two-day National E-Conference titled ‘Re-strategising Businesses During Pandemic Challenges’ on 28th March 2022. The beginning of the event was marked with a welcome note. The university is determined to contribute vehemently towards research and development irrespective of the ghastly pandemic that persists and has impacted the world in its entirety. The Conference witnessed technical session 1 and 2 on day – 1 chaired by Dr. Surekha Rana, Gurukul Kangari Vishwavidyalaya and Dr. Anup Kumar Mishra, Banaras Hindu University.

The introductory remark was given by Prof. (Dr.) Gautam Sinha, Vice-Chancellor (IUU) who threw light on the persistence of the VUCA in the current market with special emphasis on the ambiguity that citizens are facing especially due to the ongoing Russia-Ukraine war. He addressed further by highlighting the inevitable changes that have been introduced in the form of market dynamics, and manufacturing and supply dynamics. A welcome address was given by Prof. (Dr.) Ravikesh Srivastava, Pro Vice-Chancellor (IUU). Further, he emphasized on the role played by pandemic in imparting learning to people around the globe in terms of living and leading at the time of adversities.  

A brief about the conference was given by Prof. (Dr.) Santanu Roy, Dean-School of Management. Dr. Roy remarkably elucidated on the impact of pandemic on worldwide workforce and the global supply chain operations, the impediments posed and the challenges that have been taken by companies across the globe to combat the disasterous impacts of the ghastly scenario. He exemplified his narratives with a few examples from the situations in various countries. Lastly, he concluded his address with a heartwarming welcome to all the team-members and presenters.  

The key-note speaker of the E-Conference, Prof. Harvinder Singh, IMT Ghaziabad, an eminent academician and a distinguished researcher, shared his valuable insights with consumer behaviour during pandemic as the epicenter of his academic-cum-experiential delivery. He reiterated on the issues pertaining to the impact of pandemic on consumer psychology and the society at large. He explained about the iota of opportunities that evolved due to the lockdown imposed during the Covid situation. He concluded his address with some inputs on the necessity of following new social norms and etiquettes as post-pandemic repercussions and the necessity for today. He wished the best to all participants for a delightful and informative series of technical sessions. All attendees were enlightened with his enriching address.  

Dr. Santanu Roy is the Conference Chair, Dr. Amit Adlakha and Dr. Swati Bisht being the Conference Co-chairs, while organizing committee incorporates Dr. Vivek Pathak, Dr. Shalini Singh, Dr. Vandana Singh, Ms. Sneha Badola and Mr. Ashish Mahendra. More than forty research articles are scheduled to be presented in the two-days of conference.
